Guided pregnancy relaxation classes

A calm space to pause, rest and breathe during pregnancy.

These in-person guided pregnancy relaxation sessions offer a gentle opportunity to slow down and feel supported during pregnancy. They are designed as a space to rest your body and mind, rather than to learn or practise techniques.

​

Each session includes a period of deep guided relaxation, similar to the types of relaxation used in hypnobirthing, followed by time to enjoy a hot drink and gentle conversation. Many people find the space to pause and connect just as valuable as the relaxation itself.

​

This is not an educational class and there is no expectation to perform, stretch or participate in a particular way.

 

You’re simply invited to arrive as you are and rest.

What is guided relaxation?

​

Guided relaxation is a gentle, supported way to help your body and mind slow down. You’re guided through a period of deep relaxation using calm language and imagery, similar to the types of relaxation used in hypnobirthing, while you rest comfortably.

​

Many people find it helps them feel more settled, rested and grounded – but there’s no right or wrong way to experience it, and no outcome you’re expected to achieve.

What to expect

  • A calm, welcoming in-person session

  • Around 30 minutes of guided relaxation

  • Time afterwards for a hot drink and relaxed conversation

  • Small group setting

  • Led by an experienced midwife and hypnobirthing teacher

You’re welcome to come once, or to attend regularly – there’s no set programme and no pressure to commit.

Who this class is for

Guided pregnancy relaxation is suitable at any stage of pregnancy.

It may be particularly helpful if you’re feeling:

  • busy or overwhelmed

  • in need of rest and calm

  • keen to carve out intentional time in pregnancy

  • curious about relaxation without wanting a full course

  • wanting to connect with other pregnant women

No prior experience is needed.

  • Frequency: Once per month (Saturday mornings)

  • Group size: Small and intentionally limited
