Due Time Treatment

Midwife-led support as you approach your due date.

As your due date approaches, you may be looking for ways to prepare for labour, particularly if you're hoping to avoid an induction where possible.

My Due Time Treatment combines reflexology, acupuncture and carefully selected essential oils in a 60-minute treatment, with the aim of supporting your body's natural preparation for labour.

Using specific acupuncture and reflexology points, the treatment is intended to encourage cervical changes, baby's downward movement and uterine contractions.

Is this treatment right for me?

This treatment isn't suitable for everyone, so all bookings need to be approved by me before your appointment is confirmed. You can submit a booking request online, and I'll review your consultation information and get back to you to let you know whether the treatment is suitable for you.

As a registered midwife, I'll consider your individual circumstances and stage of pregnancy before approving your treatment.

When can I book this treatment?

My Due Time treatments start from 37 weeks and go up to and beyond your due date.

Can I choose not to have acupuncture?

Yes absolutely. You can select the treatments you wish to receive.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture needles are very fine, so most people find treatment much more comfortable than they expect. You might feel a tiny pinch as a needle is inserted, followed by a mild tingling, heaviness or dull ache around the point. Some people barely feel anything at all.

I'll always make sure you're comfortable throughout your treatment, and you can let me know at any point if anything feels uncomfortable.
