What is baby massage?

Baby massage uses gentle, rhythmic strokes to support bonding and communication between you and your baby. Many parents find it a lovely way to tune into their baby’s cues, build confidence in handling, and enjoy calm, focused time together.

There’s no expectation to complete a full massage in each session – babies are welcome to sleep, feed, wriggle or simply watch. Everything is optional and guided gently.

​​​Who this class is for

Baby massage is suitable for babies from 6 weeks old.

It can be especially supportive if you’d like to build confidence, enjoy one-to-one time with your baby, and meet other parents in a relaxed, welcoming setting. No previous experience is needed.

 

What to expect​

• A calm, welcoming in-person class

• Gentle, baby-led massage guidance

• Each week we build on the massage techniques, so that by week four you’ll have been shown a full body massage

• The first half of each session focuses on massage

• The second half is a relaxed space for hot drinks, biscuits, sensory toys to explore, and time for chatting

• Small group setting

• Led by a midwife

 

There’s no expectation to complete the full massage in each session – babies are always free to sleep, feed, or take a break.

Pricing

 

£60 per course

The price includes a bottle of cold-pressed organic sunflower oil to use during the sessions and at home.

Spaces are intentionally limited to keep the group calm and supportive.
