Hello

Midwife Hannah

I'm Hannah. I qualified as a midwife in 2010 with a first-class honours degree and after a whirlwind few years of getting married and having my own three babies I decided to pursue my dream of having my own private practice. I came back to my roots in 2021 after living in London and Surrey and decided that now was the right time to launch 'Birth Boutique'.

I love being a midwife and developing such a lovely relationship with women and their families. I've witnessed first hand how important knowledge, confidence and trust is between a woman, her family and her health care provider.

The more knowledge, confidence and trust, the more empowered the woman and her family feel leading to a more positive birth experience. During my pregnancies I had received reflexology and aromatherapy to help me. In addition, women I had cared for often spoke about how complementary therapies in pregnancy had helped them so much and I wanted to learn why. I wanted to be able to offer a truly holistic service to women by offering the treatments they talked about and that is why I trained with a company called Expectancy in midwifery complementary therapies.

I get a huge amount of satisfaction when I hear how much I have helped women prepare for birth; either simply through feeling better prepared and confident about birth after attending antenatal classes or hypnobirthing or after a treatment for a condition that they had been struggling with for weeks on end. Time with a midwife is so important and I love that I am able to provide that.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

“I wanted to say thank you for all your sessions. I feel that all the information that you gave us meant that I was much calmer than I would otherwise have been going into Evie’s birth. And using the breathing and movement techniques helped me to manage what turned out to be the vast majority of my labour at home, which I felt made things easier as it was familiar and calm. We had a positive birth experience overall..”
